Authorities in Fairfax County shared footage of the takedown of a convicted felon busted all because of a fake license plate. Police said only that a McLean Mids B officer spotted the bogs plate which, led to the apprehension of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and a large quantity of drugs. Fleeing Minivan Driver Hits 3 Cars, Overturns On I-95 In Fairfax: Police
A fleeing 18-year-old driver caused a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Fairfax County, police said. Everett T. Smith, of Springfield, was speeding westbound on the Beltway approaching I-95 south when a Virginia State trooper tried to stop him around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, March 14, state police said. Smith, in a grey Honda Odyssey, refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated, police said. During the pursuit, the Odyssey struck a vehicle near the exit for Route 1 and continued to drive on. Motorcyclist Killed On Stafford Road ID'd As 57-Year-Old Man
Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Stafford crash Thursday, March 14. Michael Pickeral was heading east on Joshua Road when he was struck by a westbound driver that swerved into oncoming traffic just after 5:15 p.m., the sheriff's office said. Pickeral was hit head-on near Greenleaf Terrace. Deputies, Fire and Rescue staff, and a witness all attempted to perform life-saving measures on the motorcyclist. A 59-year-old repeat drunk driver was once again taken off Stafford’s roads this week, authorities said. Regina Rodman, of Stafford, was spotted driving significantly below the speed limit and swerved into oncoming traffic around 3:50 p.m. Thursday, March 14 on Mountain View Road, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. Avenel Baby Killed By Dog ID'd In Campaign
Support is surging for a New Jersey family whose 3-month-old baby was killed by the family dog. Daymon Jair Balbuena was mauled by the dog at his home on Mereline Avenue in Avenel around 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 9, according to a GoFundMe campaign, along with Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Woodbridge Police Department Director Robert Hubner. Motorcyclist Killed On Stafford Road
A motorcyclist was killed in Stafford Thursday evening, March 14, police said. The motorcyclist was struck at the intersection of Joshua Road and Greenleaf Terrace at approximately 5:15 p.m., a spokesman for the county sheriff's office said.
