Highway Stranding Leads To DWI, Animal Abuse Charges For Gansevoort Woman
What began as a disabled vehicle call on a highway in the region ended with two people in handcuffs, one accused of drugged driving and the other of animal abuse.
Troopers in Saratoga County responded to I-87 in Wilton shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, May 12, for a broken-down car.
New York State Police said the driver, 34-year-old Jennifer Hagadorn, of Gansevoort, and a passenger, 42-year-old Guy Chadwick, of Queensbury, got into an argument when Hagadorn walked away from the vehicle.

Fast-casual seafood restaurant Red Lobster has abruptly closed dozens of its restaurants.
The company is also considering filing for bankruptcy protection, according to a CNN report.
On its website, Red Lobster lists many of its restaurants as being "temporarily closed," including these New York locations:

Stony Brook
No closures are currently listed for Connecticut or Massachusetts restaurants.

Saratoga Firefighter Anthony Stefanacci, Age 17, Dies
Tributes and donations are flooding in following the unexpected death of a beloved 17-year-old volunteer firefighter and EMT from the region.
Saratoga County resident Anthony Stefanacci, of Saratoga Springs, died by suicide on Friday, May 10, according to the Ballston Lake EMS.
Stefanacci, lovingly known by colleagues as “AJ,” had just passed his EMT exam and was a week shy of his 18th birthday. He was set to graduate from WSWHE BOCES, where he was enrolled in the Criminal Justice Studies program.
