Driver Brandished Machete During Road Rage Incident In Whitehall: Police An Allentown man is accused of threatening others with a machete after a car accident on Saturday evening, May 18, according to state police.  Authorities said Robert Reyes was involved in a crash on Route 22 in Whitehall before he and the other driver pulled into the Home Depot at 1350 MacArthur Road.  Reyes "produced a machete and put the eyewitnesses and other occupants in fear of harm or injury," troopers said.  PSP was called to the scene and placed him under arrest, according to the release.  Reyes, 51, was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerme…

Elderly Couple Dies In Murder-Suicide: Lehigh County Coroner Officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in North Whitehall Township on Saturday, May 18, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  Authorities said 78-year-old Harvey H. Hartung shot his wife, 79-year-old Carol A. Hartung, before turning the gun on himself. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.  Pennsylvania State Police and the District Attorney's Office are investigating, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio added.

1 Killed, 1 Injured In Delaware County Shooting: Police Authorities in Collingdale are investigating a deadly shooting on Friday, May 17.  Police said two juvenile victims were found on the 100 block of Lafayette Avenue around 4:20 p.m.  One victim was shot in the torso and taken to Crozer Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, borough police said. Arrest Made In Scranton Man's 'Suspicious Death': Police One man is in custody after a 36-year-old was killed in Scranton on Tuesday, May 14.  Police originally called Benjamin Thompson's Jackson Street death "suspicious" before declaring it a homicide on Thursday morning, May 16.  By Thursday night, 24-year-old Rahjuan Marquel Morgan was arrested for criminal homicide and criminal conspiracy, city police said.  "This investigation is still underway and more arrests are expected," officials said.  SPD is asking anyone with information to leave a tip by calling 570-348-4134.

Suspect Arrested For Shooting In Abington Home: Police Abington police responded to a domestic shooting in a Roslyn home early on Friday, May 17, the department says.  It happened on the 2500 block of Pershing Avenue around 9 a.m., according to authorities.  An adult victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a suspect was "quickly taken into custody," police said.  The investigation is ongoing and there is "no danger to the community," they added.
