CT Store To Close To General Public After Nearly 20 Years: 'Difficult Decision,' Owners Say
A Connecticut business that has sold annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, and more for nearly two decades will soon be changing its business model in order to adapt to changes in the industry.
Winterberry Gardens, located in the Hartford County town of Southington at 2070 West St., will be closing its garden center to the general public after Friday, Nov. 3, the owners announced.
The owners said the decision was made in order to "adapt to the evolving needs of our clientele and the ever-changing industry climate."

Target To Close Stores In 4 States, Citing Theft, Organized Retail Crime
Citing incidents involving violence and theft, Target announced it is closing nine stores in four states, including one in New York.
The New York store is in Manhattan, at 517 E 117th St.
Three other stores are in California, in the San Francisco/Oakland market, and three in Oregon, in Portland.
The other two stores are in Seattle, Washington.
