Woman Hit By Car In White Plains Critically Injured, Police Say A 60-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by a car in Westchester.  The crash took place in White Plains around 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28 near the intersection of Bloomingdale Road and Maple Avenue. Carlos Riera-Ortiz, age 41, has been arrested by White Plains Police in connection with the crash that took place on Thursday, Feb. 17. Duo Wanted For Grand Larceny In Yorktown Apprehended In White Plains Two Westchester men wanted on attempted grand larceny charges in Yorktown were apprehended in White Plains. Timothy Haywood, 32, and Jonathan Miranda, 27, both of Yonkers, were arrested on Tuesday, June 25, by White Plains Police on a warrant from the Yorktown Police for alleged grand larceny that took place on April 15, said the Yorktown Police. Detectives from Yorktown picked up the two men and returned them to Yorktown where they were charged with attempted grand larceny.
