At White Plains, Kilpatrick averaged 28.4 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, finishing as the second-leading scorer in the school's history. He was a three-time all-state, all-section, all-league, and all-county selection. He later starred at the University of Cincinnati.

Despite the Nets losing to Toronto, Kilpatrick, who still lives in White Plains, did not dissapoint his fans. He made five three-pointers and finished with 18 points.
