The Knights captured the college’s first United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division II National Championship March 7, defeating the Nittany Lions of Penn State Mont Alto 57-55 in overtime.

The team boasts two USCAA first-team All-Americans (Kenton Chan-Man and Keenan Langston, both of Brooklyn), a USCAA Academic All-American (Alessandro DeAngelis, of Manhattan) and a USCAA Honorable Mention All-American (Massiah Merritt, of Brooklyn).

The Knights also won the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Feb. 22. Team members have a collective grade point average of 3.2.

At the presentation ceremony, coach Chris Christiansen said, “If anybody’s going to (win a championship), this is the team that can do it.”
