White Plains Inducting Four Into High School Hall Of Fame

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y .-- An actor, a doctor, a producer and a television executie are the newest inductees into the White Plains High School Hall of Fame.

This year White Plains is inducting actor Ralph Waite, class of 1946, Dr. Robert Johnson, class of 1964, producer Georgia Kacandes, class of 1977 and network president David Levy, class of 1980.

Waite played John Walton on "The Waltons," while Johnson is dean of the Rutgers Medical School. Kacandes has produced movies like "The Hateful Eight," "Wolf of Wall Street," and "Hugo."  Levy is the president of Turner Broadcasting, overseeing networks like TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, and Turner Classic Movies.

The Hall of Fame pays tribute to alumni/ who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and/or have significantly and positively impacted the lives of others.

The honorees will visit the High School on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and will meet with students during the day. The Induction Ceremony will take place in the Media Center at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.

This is the Hall of Fame's 18th class, having inducted 78 people.
