White Plains High School Celebrates Class Of 2016

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- It was a sea of somber black caps and gowns as 500 White Plains High School grads piled into the County Center for commencement exercises Saturday, June 23.

Outside, the about-to-be alumni had happily posed for selfies, clutched balloons emblazoned with celebratory words like “Congrats,” and showed off caps decorated with glitter, sequins and the names of the colleges they planned to attend.

Jacon Brady was the class valedictorian while Sarah Samaranayake was the salutatorian.
