Incumbent Felice Habersham-Harris hopes to retain her seat, and two Elmsford residents -- Dennis Rambaran and Candice Wood – will also be on Tuesday’s ballot.
Habersham-Harris, a special education preschool principal in New Rochelle, has three children attending Elmsford schools. A lifelong Elmsford resident, she also graduated from Alexander Hamilton Junior/Senior High School.
“Education is a passion for me,” Habersham-Harris said at Wednesday’s forum, according to a press release.
Rambaran has lived in Elmsford since 1999, has two children and is a businessman.
He emphasized the importance of continuing the great things that have happened in the Elmsford district while discussing and hopefully implementing new ideas, according to a press release.
Wood, a lifelong Elmsford resident, said at the forum it is important for educators to create more of a “student-centered environment” in classrooms, according to a press release.
Voters will also vote whether to approve the proposed $33 million 2015-16 school operating budget, which is 2.77 percent higher than the budget approved for 2014-15.
Elections will be from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. at Alice E. Grady Elementary School, 50 S. Goodwin Ave.
