Westchester County Attracting Millennials As NYC Rent Increases

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- With rental prices in New York City increasing, the demand for rental housing is increasing in southern Westchester County, reports The Wall Street Journal.

Real-estate researcher Reis Inc. is projecting an almost 3 percent growth in rental units this year due to Westchester County's close proximity to rail lines for commuters to travel to New York City and Fairfield County, The Wall Street Journal said. 

There are currently plans for a new 6-story, 71-unit luxury rental development in New Rochelle for commuter and millennials, The Wall Street Journal reported.
