Mayor Roach To Earn Re-election, Democrats Win Big In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - With more than 54 percent of districts reporting, incumbent White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach has opened up a sizable lead over challenging Republican Milagros Lecuona.

Shortly after 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning, with 25 of 46 districts reporting, Roach had received 4,370 votes against Lecuona’s 1,756 votes, good for more than 70 percent of the turnout.

In the City Council race, Democrats John Martin, John Kirkpatrick and Justin Brasch each garnered 21 percent of the vote, with more than 1,000 votes more than Republican candidates Cass Cibelli, Andrew Custodio and Working Party candidate Saad Siddiqui.
