State Trooper Injured After Cruiser Overturns In Route 9 Crash

A New York State Police trooper suffered injuries after being involved in a one-car crash in the Hudson Valley.

New York State Police in Livingston are investigating the crash, which took place in a patrol vehicle being driven by trooper Theresa Filippini at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday night on Route 9 in Stockport in Columbia County.

Investigators said that Filippini was driving a marked state patrol vehicle southbound on Route 9 near the Columbiaville Bridge, when she struck an embankment and tree before the car was overturned.

Filippini was the only person in the car. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Albany Medical Center for treatment. She has since been treated and released.

Police said that the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
