For the second time in a few days, the Westchester County Police Department's Real Time Crime Center and patrol officers teamed up to recover a stolen car and take two suspects into custody.
The latest incident occurred Sunday evening when a detective in the Real Time Crime Center determined that a yellow taxi cab being driven on the Saw Mill River Parkway was a stolen vehicle.
A patrolman then quickly located the vehicle traveling southbound near Tompkins Avenue in Yonkers, made a felony traffic stop and took two suspects into custody.
The cab, which had been stolen in Mount Vernon on Feb. 16, was impounded for safekeeping.
The incident was similar to the Real Time's teamwork with PO Slotoroff on Feb. 15, which led to the recovery of a stolen car in New Rochelle and the arrest of two suspects in that incident.
