Man, 33, Charged In Burglary Of $2K From Westchester Restaurants & Bar

A 33-year-old man is behind bars after being charged following a two-week investigation into a burglary at a restaurant and bar in Northern Westchester.

State Police troopers responded to Rumba Bar on Oregon Road in the town of Cortlandt on Saturday, Sept. 8 for a report of a burglary. 

After nearly two weeks of investigation in collaboration with the City of Peekskill Police Department, and the Westchester County Real Time Crime Center, investigators determined Steven Cilento of Peekskill burglarized the establishment. 

Entry was forced into the establishment, and approximately $2,000 in U.S. currency was reported missing.

Cilento was arrested and charged on Thursday, Sept. 20 with third-degree burglary, a Class D felony.

Cilento was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court, and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. Cilento is next scheduled to appear before the Court on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
