Members of Greenburgh Police Department's Street Crime Unit completed an investigation into a massage parlor located at 332 Tarrytown Road (Route 119), a police spokesman said on Monday.
In a related arrest, a manager at Foot Spa was charged with "aiding and abetting three or more unlicensed massage therapists,'' police said. Mi Xu, the 24-year-old acting manager who resides at 34th Avenue in Flushing, Queens was charged with violating New York State Education Law Education Law 6512, police said.
Three other suspects knowingly and unlawfully presented themselves as licensed massage therapists, Greenburgh police said, without having required state licenses while supervised by a manager who knowingly let them practice unlicensed.
Arrested and charged as unlicensed massage therapists, according to police, were:
Yuxiang Jin, 51, of Bond Street in Flushing, Queens; Junxia Li, 46, of Pope Avenue in Flushing, Queens; and Yunfei Zhang, 39 of 4170 Main St., also in Flushing, Queens.
All four suspects were taken to Greenburgh Police Headquarters where they were booked, processed and released on bail.
It's among a series of crackdowns on massage parlors in Greenburgh this year, as reported by Daily Voice. The Town of Greenburgh has been discussing ways to toughen laws against unauthorized businesses presenting themselves as massage therapists.
