WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Helen Sauter, a resident of White Plains, died Tuesday, May 24. She was 86.
She was born and raised in the Bronx and was a longtime resident of Greenburgh. She graduated from Hunter College with a BA in philosophy and classical languages. She touched the lives of countless children as a teacher's aide at Alice E. Grady Elementary School in Elmsford.
She is survived by husband Peter Sauter; children Nicholas Sauter, M.D., Penny Mitchell, James Sauter, Esq., and their spouses; John Sauter and his fiancee; and grandchildren Peter Mitchell; Peter, Hannah and Samuel Sauter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Holy Trinity Church.
