White Plains Pool Hall Cabaret License Is Denied

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- An application by Executive Billiards in White Plains for a cabaret license, needed to add karaoke to its establishment, was denied by the city's Common Council, according to lohud.com.

According to a memo by the White Plains Commissioner of Building, a cabaret license is issued to businesses with a kitchen, which Executive Billiards does not have, reported lohud.com.

Executive Billiards owner Peter Frangos is upset with the denial claiming he is trying new ideas to keep his business alive in the growing nightclub scene, said lohud.com.
