Rafael Pena, 54, was killed just before 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Dia and Noche Restaurant, when he got into an argument with a second employee, Francisco Smile Nicasio-Ramirez, 22, of Woodhaven, who grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the stomach, said Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.
Pena was taken to an area hospital where he later died of his wounds.
Nicasio-Ramirez remained inside the restaurant, at 640 McLean Ave., where he was arrested without incident, Politopoulos said.
The kitchen knife used in the crime was also recovered.
Nicasio-Ramirez was charged with first-degree manslaughter.
"The Yonkers Police Department offers its sincere condolences to the family of Rafael Pena," Politopoulos said.
