The driver, attempting to back out of a space outside DeCicco & Sons Food Market in Pelham, accidentally accelerated unexpectedly, officials said, before striking the glass storefront and coming to a stop with the vehicle inside the building.

Following the crash, first responders evaluated the driver, who was uninjured. No other injuries were reported, and the building was deemed both stable and secure, fire officials noted. The store remained open while crews cleaned up the scene.
