White Plains Approves $1 Million For Library Renovation

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – White Plains is allocating $1 million to the city's public library as part of ongoing renovations, according to lohud.com.

The money was approved during the Common Council meeting July 5, lohud.com said.

Renovations are expected to cost about $2.4 million, and the city was challenged to match an anonymous benefactor's $1 million donation to the project in October, reported lohud.com.

Plans include a new entrance, a new adult facility and a cafe with outdoor seating, lohud.com noted.
