Directed by Nathan Winkelstein with musical direction by Danny Bernstein, "Xanadu" is the story of beautiful Greek muse Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, Calif., in 1980 to inspire struggling artist Sonny to create the first-ever roller disco. "Xanadu" -- originally starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly -- was inspired by the Douglas Carter Beane book and features music and lyrics composed by pop icons Jeff Lynne and John Farrar.
