Take to the skies as this introduction to rocketry explains how and why rockets fly. Attendees will witness real model rocket launches that soar several hundreds of feet into the air and deploy parachutes for their return.

Brian Crandall, an archeologist, and Erik Maldonado, with a background in theater, began Mad Science of the Mid-Hudson in 1998, when they realized the need to engage children at a younger age through making learning science an experience via the “wow” factor. Their approach to science enrichment invites children to pursue STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

The Kent Public Library is at 17 Sybil's Crossing (Carmel postal zone).
