Crochet-a-thon At White Plains Temple Creates Blankets For Israelis

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains Engage, along with Woodlands Community Temple, Temple Shaaray Tefilah, Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester, Temple Beth Abraham and Hadassah Westchester invite residents to knit and crochet baby blankets as a community on Sunday, May 22.

This event, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Woodlands Community Temple, 90 Worthington Road, is open to knitters and crocheters of all ages. Recipients of the finished works include Hadassah Hospital, Ein Kerem, Terror victims' families, Jerusalem domestic violence shelter, Gush Katif evacuees. 

Beginners are welcome to join and learn. They will supply all needed materials. Experienced knitters and crocheters are asked to bring number 10 needles and crochet hook, H. Yarn will be supplied. For those who cannot attend but want to contributed can knit or crochet at home with a kit that will be sent to them upon request.
