During the event, students, parents, and families of the schools will walk, jog, and run their way toward a healthier life while raising funds for their school. The Color Run program aims to go beyond traditional fundraising. Rather than sell goods, the program hopes to engage the entire student body in a fitness initiative to instill a lifelong healthy way of living.

“We’re extremely excited about the launch of the Elmsford Raiders Color Run Program at our school”, says Lucie Rambaran, organizer of the event. “We’re looking forward to involving our entire student body and faculty in a fun and healthy program. We want to engage the entire community and encourage local businesses and individual community members to get involved.”

During the event, racers and walkers, are doused with color at various stations as they pass through several color stations throughout the course and end with a color toss. This color walk/run features a designated 3.1-mile course, ending with a celebration at the finish line.

Following the event, there will be a disc jockey, dunk tank, as well as hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments available for purchase.

Event begins at 7 a.m. The school is at 98 Goodwin Ave. Interested participants can register for the run by visiting AHColorRun.eventbrite.com. The registration fee includes run/walk registration, individual color packet, race bib, and a My School Color Run T-shirt.
