Annette Colasuonno Voted Pleasantville Business Person Of The Year

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- This year's Business Person of Year in Pleansantville knows something about how to keep people happy- selling chocolates. 

Annette Colasuonno, owner of Lil’ Chocolate Shoppe has been named the Business Person of the Year by the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce.

Annette Colasuonno, owner of Lil’ Chocolate Shoppe, 15 Washington Ave., was voted Business Person of the Year by her peers in the business community for consistently demonstrating business excellence, vison, innovation, leadership and community spirit, said officials with the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce.

The Lil' Chocolate Shoppe opened its doors in 1986 on Manville Road in the building that currently houses the Jacob Burns Film Center. The “Shoppe” moved to its present location more than 20 years ago. The store specializes in making personal, one-of-a-kind designed chocolates for all occasions. 

A cocktail reception will be held to honor Colasuonno on Wednesday, April 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Trattoria 160, 160 Marble Ave. 

This event will also celebrate the 17th anniversary of the awards. The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce will present Colasuonno with a plaque in honor of the occasion. 

Hosted by Chamber President Bill Flooks, Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, the event will also include a proclamation from the Village of Pleasantville by Mayor Peter Scherer and will be filmed by PCTV for broadcast on Cablevision channels 76 and Verizon channel 36.
