White Plains Could See Strong To Severe Thunderstorms

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday evening in the area.

Conditions will be conducive for the development of storms, some of which may contain heavy rain, strong winds, small hail and dangerous lightning, the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Statement.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for counties north and west of the Lower Hudson Valley, including Dutchess.

The storm chance will start after 6 p.m. and continue through midnight.

There will be patchy fog between 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy overnight with a low around 62.

Sunday and Monday will both be mostly sunny with a high in the low 80s.
