Breaking News: Westchester Man Charged With $150,000 Superstorm Sandy Scam

Snow Flurries Could Fly In White Plains Late Saturday

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Temperatures are expected to be more seasonable and in the low 40s on Saturday, but the forecast calls for a small chance of snow flurries in Westchester County that evening, the National Weather Service said.

The forecast Saturday calls for cloudy skies and highs in the mid-40s, which is normal for March, the Weather Service said.

"That will feel wonderful," said Gary Lessor, assistant to the director of Meteorological Studies and the Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. "But it will be only a one-day reprieve."

Temperatures in the evening will sink into the 20s with light winds. The chance of snow is 20 percent, especially after 1 a.m., the Weather Service said.

The slight chance of snow showers continues until about 11 a.m. Sunday. The day will continue with partly sunny skies and a high near 38 degrees, about 5 to 10 degrees below normal for March.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 43 degrees.

The long-range forecasts show another storm could be in the mix for Wednesday as well. Depending on the temperature, it could bring snow, a frozen mix, or rain, said Lessor.
