Snow Blankets White Plains On Wednesday

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – White Plains was hit with a blanket of snow Wednesday afternoon, and residents may see more Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory was lifted at 9 p.m. Wednesday, after rain, snow and sleet left a light coating on the area.

The overnight low was forecast to be about 34 degrees with wind gusts up to 49 mph after midnight. Rain will continue into Thursday morning, mainly before noon. The high will be near 43 degrees. There is a slight chance of snow before midnight, with an overnight low of about 27 degrees.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 38 degrees and a low near 27 degrees. There is a 50 percent chance of snow Saturday, mainly after noon and a 30 percent chance of snow at night with the temperature dropping to 24 degrees.

Sunday will clear up with a high near 32 degrees and a low of about 20.
