WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester residents, especially those in Northern Westchester, awoke Tuesday to the first snowflakes since mid-March.
As temperatures continue to hover around the freezing mark, mixed precipitation is expected to continue through around 9 a.m., with less than an inch of snow expected to accumulate. The accumulation should come mainly on grassy surfaces.
There will be gradual clearing the rest of Tuesday with a high of around 40.
Temperatures are expected to rise as the weekend goes on, with a high near 60 projected for Saturday with partly to mostly sunny skies each day.
