It was a storm that caught some off-guard.

Projections for significant snowfall accumulation did not materialize until just hours before the system first swept through the Hudson Valley on Saturday morning.

But the storm wound up producing snowfall that was heavy at times, leading to slippery conditions on the roadways and significant accumulations in much of the area before the snow tapered off Saturday evening.

Here are snowfall totals that were reported from various spots throughout the area.
