A stretch of Route 22 has reopened early Thursday afternoon after downed tree and wires resulted in its closure.

The closure, reported around 10 a.m., was between Chesnut Ridge Road and Middle Patent Road near the North Castle/Bedford border.

The stretch of the roadway reopened around 1:15 p.m.
