State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash which occurred Thursday morning northbound on I-95 near Exit 18B (White Plains/Mamaroneck Avenue) in which a tow-truck driver was struck just before 7 a.m.
The driver was transported to Greenwich with serious physical injuries.
The accident is being reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and is still under investigation.
The crash initially took out two lanes. One of those lanes reopened just prior to 9 a.m.
Motorists are advised to take the Hutch or Bronx River Parkway as alternates.
