Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Car Flips On New Jersey Turnpike A vehicle overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26 northbound near Interchange 9 in East Brunswick Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. In the area of milepost 83.0, a Mercedes SUV and Toyota collided causing the Toyota to overturn, according to New Jersey State Police. Minor injuries were reported, State Police said. Corrections Officer Shoots 21-Year-Old Thinking He's Under Attack In Trenton: Prosecutor A New Jersey corrections officer shot a 21-year-old woman in Trenton on March 18 after the rear window of his vehicle was inexplicably shattered, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said. The corrections officer thought he was being shot at, but it turned out that a thrown paint can had broken his window, the prosecutor said. The incident occurred on the 500 block of Bellevue Avenue at about 12:20 a.m. The injured woman was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, authorities said.  The incident remains under investigation. DWI Driver Crashes Into Fence At Vineland City Hall A 71-year-old man from Vineland was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into a fence at Vineland City Hall, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10:40 a.m. on Monday, March 25 at 640 E. Wood St. Robert Romano was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, Vineland police said. Police did not say whether Romano was injured in the crash. Romano was processed on the summonses pending his court hearing at the Vineland Municipal Court.
