White Plains Tops Ardsley in Summer League Play

ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- The White Plains Generals got strong pitching and good hitting Tuesday in an 11-2 victory over Ardsley in Westchester Baseball Association 9- 10-year-old summer league play. Aidan McDonough had three hits and Matt Halas, Tyler O’Brien and Colin Darcy each had two hit s each for the Generals, who are 2-0 in the early season.

Halas did not allow a run in his two innings on the mound. Aidan Canfield had two hits, walked once and pitched well for Ardsley, which ran its record to 1-2, including a 6-0 victory over Scarsdale last Friday. Jason Shapiro had an RBI for Ardsley.
