The White Plains Tiger’s 7th and 8th grade tackle football team traveled north to Lakeland High School to play in a controlled scrimmage against the Cowboys of Cortland, the Shrub Oak Hornets, and the Ossining Pride. Each scrimmage consisted of 15 minutes on offense, followed by 15 minutes on defense.  At days end, White Plains head coach Chris Hatzilouloudes was exceptionally pleased with his team. He reported that on both sides of the ball his team had performed extremely well throughout the day. He added that on offense he kept his boys significantly reigned in, so as not to show the opposition anything they could use in a future game plan.

There is a balanced mix of returning 8th graders and 7th graders from his 2013 championship club.

With a stout line anchored by Jordan McGee, Jacob Petfield, and John Pasqualini the team creates huge holes for the running backs to blast through. In the backfield the Tigers have slippery Christos Hatzilouloudes along with the power of Jayson Crilley, and Sidney Moshette.

Add Nazir Hibbert and Avery Turten to the running game and the Tigers seem unstoppable. Calling signals at quarterback is Brody McGuinn. On defense are linebackers Caleb Gillen and Alex Sagnibene, with Michael Huebner and Mchai Brown shoring up things at the corners. The Tigers are a dedicated group who play in the Westchester United Youth Football League, which also includes Scarsdale, Putnam Valley and the Bernies.

This week they begin their 10 game schedule on the road at Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt. They play their home games under the lights at White Plains High School. Come check them out!
