WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – White Plains High School will host the 19th annual Harry Jefferson Boys Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
Twelve teams will play in six games:
- 10 a.m. - Poly Prep (Brooklyn) vs. Ossining
- 11:45 a.m. - Sacred Heart of Yonkers vs. Harrison
- 1:30 p.m. - Uniondale (Long Island) vs. Spring Valley
- 3:15 p.m. - Tuckahoe vs. Sleepy Hollow
- 5 p.m. - Iona Prep vs. White Plains
- 6:45 p.m. - Saunders vs. Mamaroneck
Harrison coach Gary Chiarella and his Huskies are making their first appearance in the tournament.
“This is one of the most prestigious showcases in the area,” said Chiarella, a former Harrison standout. “Six years ago, when Danny Pesco and I became the coaches, we would have never been asked to play in something like this. We have been very competitive the last three years, and our progress during each season has our expectations rising.”
