White Plains Girls Soccer Team Reaches Semifinals

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains United '02 travel soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the Upper 90 tournament with a 1-0 win over the Albany Alleycats.

Clara Friend scored the winning goal, while goalie Jillian Pope blocked Albany's attempt to tie the game during a penalty kick in the last minutes.

White Plains United '02, coached by Jon Feinstein, is in first place in the Westchester Youth Soccer League Girls Under-11 Division 1 and undefeated in the regional premier league Division 2.

The team roster includes Jillian Pope, Julia Denion, Kayla Tillman, Kyra Broderick, Julia Mancini, Julia Reggio, Natalie Anderson, Lisa Burg, Hailey Soliz, Clara Friend, Camila DeSouza, Ashley Stagg, Abigail Martinez, Coach Jon Feinstein, and Manager David Friend.
