WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The White Plains Bernies third and fourth grade football team got a strong offensive effort from running back Ryan McPartland behind the blocking of linemen Joey Justic and Ryan Caserta Sunday in an 18-6 victory over the Tarrytown Wolfpac at Sleepy Hollow High School.
The Bernies, now 5-1, set the pace early by scoring on McPartland's a 60-yard run into the end zone. The Bernies defense then forced a fumble recovered by guard Daniel Alarcon on the 45-yard line of Tarrytown.
White Plains scored again when quarterback Anthony Palatucci handed to Garrett Stone, who ran it in for 25 yards out to finish a 50-yard scoring drive.
The Bernies defense was led by Caserta and Matt Dilullo, who each made several tackles and put a lot of pressure on the Wolfpac.
Quarterback Jimmy Keenan led a 35-yard drive aided by the running of Declan Bruton and James Amodio. Keenan ran it in from the 15-yard line behind the blocking of Matt Manger and Kieran Daly.
