DeMuro became the first lacrosse player in school history to sign a fall National Letter of Intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse.

DeMuro signed with Coach Steve Manitta and Manhattan College, which competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

DeMuro is a three-sport athlete at Stepinac, starting at outside linebacker on the school’s undefeated football team, as well as a starting forward on the varsity basketball team. However, no success is as great as his time as a member of the varsity lacrosse program at Stepinac.

"Seeing a three-sport athlete these days get a college scholarship is refreshing," said Stepinac's Director of Athletics Michael O'Donnell. "So many athletes are told to concentrate on one sport and it actually sometimes hurts their growth as a complete athlete. Other sports sometime open other options for these athletes. Dylan is a great young man and has excelled in everything he has done here at Stepinac High School."

He is a four year varsity starter, and has started a total 66 games for the Crusaders at long stick midfield and close defense.

In addition, DeMuro has been a first-team, all-league selection in his first three seasons, while also being awarded CHSAA “A” long stick midfielder of the year after his junior season.

During his years as an athlete, he has helped Stepinac amass a league record of 32 wins and two losses during his tenure, while also being a key component in Stepinac’s 2013 CHSAA “A” Intersectional Championship and 2014 CHSAA “A” City Championship.

Outside of athletics, DeMuro is a member of Stepinac’s Travel Club and Ambassador Club while also assisting in the school’s admissions office. He plans to major in buisness next year at Manhattan College.
