WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Brandon Coleman, a senior quarterback at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, has committed to attend the U.S. Naval Academy.

The Stepinac star gave his verbal commitment to Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo on Monday following weeks of weighing his college options. In addition to the academy, he had received offers from three other top schools in the nation — Harvard, Yale and Davidson universities, according to a press release from Stepinac High School.

Ranked in the top 10 out of approximately 250 boys in his junior year, Coleman carries a 4.0 GPA. Last year, the 5-foot-10-inch, 160-pound Crusader (4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash) passed for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns and ran for 717 yards and eight scores, leading Stepinac to a 7-4 record and a position in the CHSFL AAA semifinals.

Following his graduation from Stepinac in spring 2015, Coleman will enroll at the Navy prep school in Newport, R.I., before his appointment to the academy in Annapolis for 2016.
