Stepinac Baseball Moves to Winning Record

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The Archbishop Stepinac baseball team outlasted Iona Prep to earn a 4-3 in extra innings Tuesday and pushed its overall record to 4-3 after the first three weeks of the regular season.

The Crusaders, who are 4-2 in Catholic High Schools Athletic Association league play with one loss out of league, got a strong pitching performance from Christian Huertas, who allowed two earned runs and pitched all nine innings to earn the win.

Joe Signore drove in two runs and Brandon Soto was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in top of the ninth inning to drive in the winning run.
