New York Rangers alumni and 1994 Stanley Cup Champions Adam Graves and Glenn Anderson manned a table inside the Chase branch to greet customers, youth hockey players and families as a part of the Rangers Assist youth hockey program.

The retired hockey stars signed autographs, handed out free tickets to an alumni game this coming Sunday at Playland Ice Casino and shared tips with young hockey players.

"Look at the curve on that,'' Anderson said to Ian Silberstein of Scarsdale as he signed the boy's hockey stick.

"Do you want that puck signed?'' Graves asked Ian's older brother, Lee.

Both boys play in a Scarsdale youth hockey program.

The event attracted longtime fans, too. Jay Meyer, 35, of New Rochelle said he hasn't missed a Rangers hockey game in person or on television since he was seven or eight years old. Meyer also snagged some autographs.

Rangers Assist is designed to improve the youth hockey experience and increase opportunities and accessibility to the sport. The Rangers and Chase also collected donated hockey equipment to outfit local skaters in need.

Graves and Anderson gave away tickets for the Jan. 25 Rangers alumni game at Rye Playland. Sunday's event will include a variety of activities such as a “Try Hockey for Free” clinic, a free public skating session and an exhibition charity hockey game featuring Rangers alumni who were members of the 1994 Stanley Cup Champions including Graves, Anderson, Alexei Kovalev, Stephane Matteau and Brian Noonan.

Fans who visited the Rye Chase branch also got a chance to win tickets to the NY Rangers regular season game against the Carolina Panthers at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 31 along with other prizes.
