The event will feature fundraising for breast cancer research. Last year, the series raised about $25,000 for the respective charities and included more than 220 participants.

“The Westchester Rally for the Cause held at Rye Racquet Club was the inaugural tournament back in 2011 and has become a community event that people look forward to each year,” Olga Harvey, Southern Region president, said. “It’s a fun, rewarding experience that provides great competition for players of all levels.”

The third event will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Tennis Club of Hastings in Hastings-on-Hudson.

The event will feature fundraising for the ASPCA to prevent cruelty to animals. This event is reserved for young adults between the ages of 21 and 35.

The fourth event will be held Monday, Sept. 12, at the Cross Court Tennis Club in Wappingers Falls. The featured fundraising is to be determined.

The fifth event will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Armonk Tennis Club in Armonk. The event will feature fundraising for the ALS Association to find a cure for ALS.

Each of the events includes round-robin women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles play. Players can sign up with a partner or as an individual. Cost is $50 to $75 depending on the event and format. Registration includes a minimum of two hours of play. All proceeds go to the respective charities.

Those who wish to further donate to the charities may do so with cash or check donations on the day of the event. There will be prizes and refreshments for all participants. In addition, there will be special prizes for those playing in multiple tournaments or those raising the most money for charity.
