Pace Basketball Set For White Out, Alumni Day

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. --  The Pace University men's and women's basketball teams will play rival Bentley University on Saturday, Feb. 1 as part of a special day of activities.

Pace hosts #1 Bentley for "White Out" day on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 p.m. The Setters are 4-15 overall and 3-10 in the Northeast-10 conference while the Falcons are 19-0 including a 14-0 NE-10 mark.

The women's game will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the men's game at 3:30 p.m.

Festivities for Men's Basketball Alumni Day include a halftime ceremony in which all men's basketball alumni in attendance will be recognized.

The day's activities start at 2:30 p.m. with "Chalk Talk" with Pat Kennedy in the VIP room of the Goldstein Fitness Center with food sponsored by Memphis Mae's. Following the game, there will be a Men's Basketball Alumni reception at Michael's in Pleasantville.

The first 1,000 fans will receive free “White Out” T-shirts. T-Bone’s Tailgate Tipoff sponsored by Residence Life gets started at 12:30 p.m. During the game, Yogolicious will be serving frozen yogurt on the track with free toppings for all fans. Tickets prices for the game are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children under 12 years old. 

In other Pace athletics news, the baseball team, who makes its first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 1985, is expected to finish third in the Southwest Division of the Northeast-10 conference, according to the preseason coaches poll.

The Setters finished 33-17 last season and received two first place votes which totaled 69 points.

Pace opens its season on Saturday, March 1 at Bloomfield. The Setters play their first home game on Saturday, March 8 when they host Merrimack in a doubleheader at noon.
