Pace Athletics Introduces Stephen Altano As New Trainer

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University Athletics announced Stephen Altano as an assistant athletics trainer this past week for teams on the Pleasantville campus.

Altano is a certified athletics trainer and this past spring earned his Master's Degree in Athletic Training from West Virginia University.

Altano recently worked as a graduate assistant at West Greene Jr./Sr. High School in Waynesburg, Pa. where he was the head athletic trainer. He provided athletic training coverage for all sports at West Greene for grades 7-12 and implemented new training protocols. In addition, he did an independent study project at Healthworks Rehab and Fitness in Morgantown, W.Va.   Altano also worked on the college level for two years at Rowan University. He worked as an athletic training resident as an undergraduate, working with the football, softball and women's basketball teams. He also worked as a summer intern in 2012 for the Sand Diego Chargers, assisting in athletics training needs for three preseason games.   Altano earned his master's degree in athletic training in May and graduated with a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Rowan University in 2013.
