The Sports Page Pub, celebrating its 34th year in White Plains under the ownership of Bob Hyland, has it all. Hyland, a 1963 Archbishop Stepinac High School graduate, went on to play 11 seasons for four pro football teams, including the Giants, and concluding with the Patriots in 1977.

Game time is 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The sports pub, 200 Hamilton Ave. (next to the Department of Motor Vehicles office) opens at 11 a.m. The pub has 48 television sets that surround the main floor and typically enjoys wall-to-wall football fans.

Manager Ed Spiegel said Sports Page Pub already was fielding advance orders for wings and other food to be delivered or picked up on Sunday afternoon. The Super Bowl typically is the bar-restaurant's busiest day of the year, according to Spiegel.

In-house, Spiegel said wings are the favorite order, serving up thousands of them. Exactly how many?

"We go through tons and tons and tons,'' he said.

Hyland played in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, New York Giants and New England Patriots. While playing for the Giants, Hyland opened the Single Wing Pub on Westchester Avenue in 1973. That formed the foundation for the 1981 opening of his next creation, The Sports Page Pub, originally on Mamaroneck Avenue.

If wings aren't your thing, or you're craving sliders on Super Sunday, Jake’s Wayback Burgers, 357 North Central Ave., Hartsdale, is offering dinner and take-out specials.

In addition to slider specials, Jake's is promoting buy two -- get a third free -- deals on chili and fries.

Or, stop by Aries Wine & Spirits and receive 15 percent off on any purchase by mentioning their Super Bowl promotion. The store is at 128 W. Post Road, White Plains. Aries also is offering a $50 gift certificate to someone who picks the Super Bowl winner and final score correctly.
