Among those in attendance at the 30th Anniversary celebration at Grand Central Terminal were Dutchess County resident Sweeny Murti, Scarsdale native Ed Coleman, Suzyn Waldman of Yorktown Heights, Rockland County's Marc Malusis and Chappaqua’s John Cirillo, all longtime collaborators at the station.
Murti has been with the station in varying capacities since its inception in 1987, while Murti joined in 1993. Cirillo, who was described as “one of the top publicity executives in sports,” represents the Grand Central Oyster Bar, which has been advertising on WFAN for years. He also represents Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway and New Rochelle-based Steiner Sports. Waldman was the first voice ever heard on “The Fan” three decades ago and later became a color commentator for the Yankees.
