WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Westchester teens will be able to enjoy a safe environment and beat the summer heat when the Westchester County Center opens its doors for Open Gym Night beginning July 1.
Teens in grades six to 12 can have fun in air-conditioned comfort while they shoot hoops, play chess or other board games or compete in traditional recreational activities like Foosball, Noc hockey and ping pong.
Open Gym, which is sponsored by Westchester County Parks. will run Monday through Friday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through July 26. The program will be closed on July 4 and 5.
County Parks Department adult staffers will supervise the youngsters and admission and parking at the County Center lot are free for these events.
The County Center is at 198 Central Park Avenue in White Plains.
