UPDATE: The numbers from the 2013-2014 school budget vote and election are in.
On the budget, 692 voted yes and 186 voted no (78.8 percnet).
In their uncontested bids for the school board, Sheryl Brady received 727 votes and Charlie Norris received 700.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The White Plains School District's $192.95 million budget passed with 74 percent of the vote Tuesday, according to unofficial election results.
The 2013-2014 budget , adopted by the board April 16, raises taxes 3.13 percent. For a homeowner with an average assessed valuation of $15,000, their tax bill would increase $265.65 per year.
The two candidates for the board of education were both uncontested. Incumbents Charlie Norris and Sheryl Brady received an unofficial tally of 634 and 722 votes respectively.
